OCT. GIDEON AND AUXILIARY CALENDER

From Janie Stockman--Auxiliary board meeting,Tues. Oct. 9th at 11 a.m. at Santa Fe Depot. Prayer luncheon at noon.
Camp meeting is on Fri. Oct. at 6:30 in annex building of First Christian Church, 6th and Seneca
Pinky is the Colorado Gideon Membership Chairman, Pinky Sloane and Nebraska Auxiliary vice-president
Donna Sloane will be our featured speakers. Pinky will be speaking on the Man to Man program
and membership.
Donna will be speaking on Scripture Distribution.
Auxiliary prayer breakfast will be Oct 20th, 7:30 a.m. at Village Square.
Also the Leavenworth Camp is invited to help in a distribution at KU on Oct. 24th.

CHURCH ACTION DAY PLANNED

Bob Bruce is asking several camps to get together in K.C. Ks. (Place to be announced) on Oct 16, and 17 to make calls to pastors to set up church services in the area including ours. He is asking for volunteers from our camp to participate in this effort. This is something we can discuss this Sat. State president Orville Theissen is concerned about the lack of church services across the state.

MOST RECENT SCRIPTURE DISTRIBUTION


Bibles were provided to the new Candlewood Motel on Sept 19. The Candlewood Motel is located just north of The Legends. In all 125 full Gideon Bibles were placed as well as PWTs
to staff members. President Bobby reported that a Candlewood VIP said that this was the best orchestrated distribution they had seen.

Personal Testimony speaker, Roy Shenkel(center) shared his testimony of how he came to know Christ by way of a Gideon Testament during WWII while in a German POW camp.



More that 100 Gideons and guests enjoyed an evening of fellowship at the annual PAB. More than $1,700 was raised for the Faith Fund that evening.
